- Yellow fever vaccination is required to enter Tanzania. Although this requirement may change from time to time, one can get the vaccination at the point of entry into Tanzania.
- Make a list of your travel contacts to carry with you on your travels. (Guide, Hotel, Airport Transfer, Embassy, Travel Agent.)
- You will be able to withdraw local currency from an ATM using your Visa Card or Mastercard. Many local ATMs only accept PIN numbers with 6 or more digits, so please consult with your bank or credit card company if your card uses a 4-digit PIN.
- Be sure to inform your Bank and Credit Card companies that you will be traveling, so they don't block your transactions while you are in Tanzania.
- Pre-arrange your airport transfers from the airport to your destination.
- If you have any special diet requirements, be sure to make arrangements before-hand.
- Pack light colored clothing if you'll be going on game drives outside of the Kilimanjaro area. Dark colors attract Tsetse Flies, which bite!
